We both love kimchi. We both love Pizza. So why not: Kimchi pizza. It is a perfect Korean fusion dish something different to serve with friends . It is crispy and savoury with a lovely chilli kick!
Enjoy this Kimchi Pizza bursting with gorgeous umami flavour.
INGREDIENTS Serve 2
2 pizza base
The Pizza Sauce
300g Passata
2 tablespoons tomato puree
1 clove of garlic crushed
2 teaspoon gochujang (Korean red pepper paste)
Toppings For The Pizza
225 mozzarella shredded mozzarella,
160g kimchi chopped into bite sized pieces
METHOD
Preheat your oven to 200°C If using a pizza stone, or Pizza tray, place it in the oven to preheat as well.
Combine the pizza sauce ingredients (passata, tomato puree, garlic, and gochujang) and set aside.
Roll out your dough or place your pre-made base down and spread the pizza sauce combination evenly over it.
Place the toppings on the pizza: mozzarella, then kimchi, spring onions.
Place the pizza on your pizza stone or tray. Bake for around 13-15 minutes until the dough is cooked and the mozzarella is brown and bubbly! Keep checking to ensure it is not burning.
Drizzle with a bit of sesame oil for the beautiful and finishing touch!
