This tiramisu is an eggless recipe. Add a touch of rum, marsala or amaretto to bring more flavor to your tiramisu. Luscious mascarpone cream with soft coffee soaked lady fingers and a generous dust of cocoa powder. A super easy timeless classic dessert, with few ingredients.
INGREDIENTS
For Mascarpone Cream
330g full fat mascarpone cheese
6 tablespoon granulated sugar
1.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
375ml whipping cream, chilled
For Coffee Mixture
375ml cup water
4 tablespoon espresso coffee
2 tablespoon Amaretto
3 tablespoon granulated sugar
cocoa powder
ladyfinger biscuits
METHOD
Add mascarpone cheese and sugar into a bowl. Whisk until fluffy using a handheld whisk. Now add in vanilla extract and whipping cream. Continue whisking until you get a thick stiff cream. Don’t over mix to avoid splitting. Set aside.
Mix water, coffee, Amaretto and sugar in a wide flat container until sugar is dissolved. Set aside.
Soak ladyfingers in the coffee for a few seconds and arrange at the bottom of your dish. Dust with cocoa powder. Spoon and divide half of mascarpone mixture into the dish. Repeat with more ladyfingers and the rest of the cream.
Serve immediately, or you can chill in the fridge for 1- 2 hours for a firmer texture. Dust the top with cocoa powder just before serving.
