BOK CHOY AND GARLIC SAUCE

 

Garlic Bok Choy. Tender bok choy seasoned with a simple, savoury umami sauce with garlic! The perfect vegetable side dish to any meal. Ready in 10 minutes!

INGREDIENTS

800g Bok Choy
1 tablespoon sunflower Oil
1.5 teaspoon Salt

For the Garlic Sauce

6-8 cloves Garlic crushed
1 tablespoons Sesame Oil
3 tablespoons Oyster Sauce
2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
1 tablespoon Sugar

METHOD

Prepare the Bok Choy by cutting it in half. If the Bok Choy is quite large, cut it in half again.

Bring a pan of water to a simmer and add the oil and 1.5 teaspoons of salt. Blanch the Boy Choy for 3-4 minutes. You want it to be soft yet still crunchy. Set aside.

In a pad add the garlic, oyster sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes, or until the sugar has melted.

Drizzle the sauce over the bok choy and serve
