We first tried this burger on the recommendation of Sheila’s Nephew Russell, who is a Master of the Barbecue, having a weber kettle, an Egg, plus a wood burning built in stove. It was his suggestion not to use low fat mince, and another tip from him is to eat the burger upside down……….No not you the burger bun!
INGREDIENTS
makes 4
1 kg minced meat try not to use low fat mince the burger will just dry up
2 medium red onions finely chopped
2 eggs
100 gr fresh breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground cumin seeds
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
salt and freshly ground black pepper
Burger buns
METHOD
Preheat the barbecue to medium high.
Mix and scrunch all the ingredients together.
Divide into 4, then gently mold and pack each burger into smallish slightly flattened balls.”
Brush grill grates clean, then brush lightly with oil. Place burgers on grill and cook rotating after 3 minutes, roughly 6 minutes per a side, until burgers are cooked through but still juicy. Toast hamburger buns placing cut side down on grill.
Serve immediately with your favorite fix. Salad, Rocket, Sliced Red onions, Sliced Tomatoes, Mustard, Gherkins…….Tomato sauce go for it
