This simple, tangy apple sauce takes no time to make. Fantastic with roast pork.
INGREDIENTS Serves 4
225g Apples
13g caster sugar
Juice of half lemon
Half teaspoon cinnamon
METHOD
Peel, core, and cut the apples into rough small dice. Place in a saucepan with all the remaining ingredients. Now cook on a low heat with a lid on for 15 minutes.
Once cooked, with some of the apples starting to puree, remove from the heat.
Whisk the apples, into a sauce consistency, I do like to keep a little texture in the apples. Once the sauce is ready, add a knob of butter to give the sauce a silky finish.
