Vacherin Mont d’Or cuit au four avec et cornichons

 

 

INGREDIENTS

1 250g Mont d’Or Vacherin, made but firm, in its wooden box
2 teaspoons dry white wine

To Serve

cornichions

crispy bread (french favorite)

Preheat the oven to 200°C

METHOD

If you can’t get Mont d’Or, then Camembert will do, but trust me, Mont d’ Or is the best.

Meanwhile, remove the cheese from the box and remove the packaging.

 Place the lid under the box. Hollow out with a spoon and pour in the wine. Bake for 15 minutes or until the cheese is hot and has softened all the way through.

Place the cheese in its carton on a serving dish, remove the lid, remove the top slice.

Serve with cornichions crusty  bread.
